loader - Macromedia Flash Sitedesign

hi there, i am creating a website for a restaurant, and was wanting to have a loader scene, the tricky part is, that the loader scene is a red pepper filling up with color, i can easily fill squares or any other shape that is simple, but the pepper is all different shapes, how would you achieve this with the pepper. thanks for any help edd...

place a mask over the preloader. Just cut the shape out of the mask to look like a chilli.

check out my loader in the flash side of the site.

i thought you would need to use the mask tool, the thing is i have never used this mask tool yet and would not know where to start, have you got any good tutorials that i could look at?
i see you have done what i want to do with the loader. I love the animation, look brilliant and very funny too.

For a simple mask... Add a layer, place on that a filled rectangle (Or any image) then draw the shape you need, then remove the inside of the shape, this will then allow you to see through to the other side (the preloader).

Make sure the loader is wide enough to cover the cutout image on the mask.

    Easy.

What kind of preloader are you using? It should all be done with actionscript (apart from the mask) and take up only one frame. You don't need to use any tweening to get the effect.

Do you want me to send you a .fla of my loader? If so email me on
infoflashbum.co.uk and I'll send it to you later. I'm off out of the office now and won't be able to send it until tonight, but if you want it I will.

You will see by my example how it should be done... I might even put your chilli on for you, depends if I get a good result this afternoon!
