We'll have a number of computers set up for kids to play on, and
free copies of Tux Paint (for the major platforms) on CDROM.

It's also available for free download off the internet, right now!
    Go try it out! :^)

My daughter (since age 4) loves it. Works well, although the installer
was a bit clumsy 6 months ago when last I used it.

Great - always helps to get these things out to the public.
"Free software? What does that mean?" kind of opportunities.
Sounds like a great project that you're taking on. Good one.

Thanks! :^) (Mind if I add this to the 'Reviews & Kudos' page? ;^) )

Hrm... The actual app itself, on OS X, seems to 'just run.'
I went to the local Apple Store, clicked the download link, and
the browser and OS did everything for me. After a minute or so of
downloading and processing (with no intervention on my part), there
was a friendly Tux Paint icon sitting on the desktop.

    I was impressed. :^) (It's kinda scarey, too, though ;^) )

Maybe Darrell changed it in the last 6 months. I still need to get a
system to run OS X on myself for testing & development.
Being out of work makes that pretty difficult, especially with the
car needing repair, and bills/food/rent to pay for. :^)

Thanks. :) Hey, feel free to print out and hand out some Tux Paint
    pamphlets! ;^)

Let me reword it and polish it and I'll send it in. To whom should I
    send it?

Maybe it was the Linux version, I'll check that out & provide whatever
help or feedback I can. Something about getting the stamps library in
the right place, I seem to recall.

I can run pretty much any modern OS at home, even Windows if absolutely
    necessary.

Been there, done that. It gets better, hang in there.
