    Default Lock pages

    Hi there,

I don't want the writers to be able to edit all the pages on my site. So I
would like to "lock" certain pages (like index.htm or menu.htm f.i.). So, is
this possible? How can I lock certain pages, so they can only be editted by me
    (the administrator)?

    Default Re: Lock pages

You have to have administrator rights in Contribute to solve this. I assume you
    have these rights.

Create a seperate folder or folders in the root of your site and place the
files that you want your writers to be able to edit in these folders. Then take
    these steps:

    1. In the menu go to: Edit, Adminsiter Websites and pick your site
    2. Go to Users and Roles and pick the 'writers'-role
    3. Click Edit Role Settings
    4. Go to Folder/File access
    5. Activate 'Only allow editing within these folders'
    6. Add the folders you created

    grtz.
