Default login page and data security

    Hello NG,

I am new to asp.net and I have 2 part question. I hope I will get some good
    answers here.

1- I need to make a login page to let user access the database with there
    information
2- How to make data transfer between server and client secure as SS# will be
    part of information.

Detail answers will surely save my time and help me to start from zero but
pointers will also help me if you do not have time for details.

    Thanks,

this is a complex subject and there is no simple answer -- however,
