Loging into my system
At present, I have to log in each time I turn on my
laptop.
I'm loaning my computer to a friend for the rest of the
week. I don't want to have to log in under my name. I
want to set up a guest user account and have them log in
to the system under his name when he turns it on.
That way he won't have access to my files, right? That's
the ultimate goal here.
Please help with step by step instructions on how to do
this! My nephew set up my system and now he's moved. I'm
on my own and pretty unsure of myself in this area!
Thanks!

Loging into my system
Hi
You need to go into control panel/user accounts/create a
new account/then follow instructions to create username
and select "guest" type for account.
This should prevent access to your files
Hope this helps

Loging into my system
Thanks Adam.
So far, I've got that much set up. The problem is that
when I first turn on the computer, it requires me to
enter my user name and password, before I can even get
into the system. I can't escape out of this window and it
won't let me change my user setting as administrator
until I assign another administrator.
How do I start the system, without having to login with
my password?
I want my Guest User to be able to get access
without "firing up" my files...
Thanks.
