Logo for Print - Macromedia Freehand

Hi All- I created a logo in Fireworks MX 2004 and now my customer wants the logo for for a variety of media: MS Word, MS PowerPoint , MS Outlook and Adobe Acrobat. I still have the file in it's native PNG format. Can I take that file with all it's layers and effects into FreeHand and will FreeHand MXa retain them? Or, do I need to start from scratch in FreeHand? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks...

I believe that all those MS programs will accept a PNG file and have heard
it's actually a very good format for use in Office products. Can you somehow
"flatten" the image and save in PNG so the receiving programs don't have to
    deal with layers, etc.?

    Hi Bill-

Thanks for your suggestion. It worked. As you suggested, I selected all the
layers and "flattened" them and then saved it as a PNG. I tested in Word,
PowerPoint, Outlook and Acrobat and the logo came out perfect. Even when I
resized it, it still looked good. Thank goodness for PNG.

And, thank you again, Bill. You rock!

    Hey _flashNewbie --

You're most welcome. Glad that worked. And a grateful tip of my hat to guru
James E. Talmage who we haven't heard from much around here lately, but
whose recommendation for using .PNG for Office applications I was passing
    along.
