Looking for an alternative to Adobe Contribute
I am re-doing a web page for my local charity group for retired people and I
will have several separate pages for various activity groups, Walking, Art
Appreciation, Using Computers, Languages, Reading and so on. I would like
the various group leaders to be able to update the text in their own pages
to reflect what goes on in the groups. A sort of online News Letter.
I have looked at Adobe Contribute and it could well fit the bill except
that
the licence is 79 pounds a pop and I would need about 10 or 15 licences.
Even at charity prices, that sort of money just isn't available.
Googling Wikipedia, I came across an application called "Web Update
Builder"
which is a one-off purchase and free distribution of the .exe file to many
users. It looks a bit iffy although it would solve my problem from the cash
point of view. Can anybody point me in the direction of a suitable
affordable alternative to Contribute.

I was looking for something and found your post on google, so I joined
groups to tell you about it. I wanted to tell you that Web Update
Builder is a great program if you are only wanting to update text.
Other than that forget about it. I use it for several clients and
they love that they are able to change their text. Its worth the
199.99 price tag if you just want to update events and things. If not
