Looking for IBook info
My daughter recently ordered a G3 900Mhz 12" IBook from the Apple Store
mainly for the Graphics Design program she is enrolled in at a local
technical college. It should arrive later this week.
I have been using M$ Windows based PCs for ten years and know very little
about MACs but would like to learn much more.
Can you kind people point me in the direction of the best websites and NGs
for good info?
Thanks
Ricky

Books. There are any number of current titles on Mac OS X.
There is at least one book on switching from a PC to a Mac. This would
give you information in terms of what you would think for a PC and how
to do it on a Mac. "Mac OS X for Windows Users: A Switchers' Guide"
"Mac OS X: The Missing Manual". Highly recommended.
There might also be books related to the graphic design course your
daughter is taking (Photoshop, etc...) and maybe those would be
interesting if you want to help her with her homework.
Spend some time in a Barnes and Noble, Borders, etc... book store and
browse the Mac titles looking for anything that interests you.
Also while in the bookstore look at some of the Mac Magazines (MacWorld,
Mac Home Journal, MacAddict, etc...).
You never know, maybe you will decide to switch. If not, please don't
give your daughter grief. She is just trying to get an education :-)
