    Default lost boot passwd

On one of the our machine (Sun Blade 100), the root password was lost
due to a unhappy sysadmin who left the company.

Is that anywhere that I can reset the passwd without re-install the
    whole thing?

Ask your company's lawyer to ask the xemp for the company's password.

boot from cdrom & mount the / partition, change it in the passwd (or
    shadow) file.
