lost layers palette
All of a sudden my layers palette is gone. The only thing I can figure is that I accidentally dragged it off the screen. I forgot how to get this back or is something else going on? (Actions and Links are still there- Illustrator 9)

Re: lost layers palette
Marlene,
The first thing to try is to delete the AIPrefs file. It has no extension and is a hidden file. It's normally stored in a system folder and depends upon your Windows version as to where. What Illustrator and what version of Windows are you using? Close Illustrator. The easiest for general finding is Control F (Find/Search), click on All Files and Folders, then More Advanced Options and be sure to click SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS and type in AIPrefs in the filename box. Whcn you get the listing highlight it and DELETE. Next launch of Illustrator will create a new AIPrefs with original default settings.
