    Default Lost Pallettes

I have version 10;PC and my grouped palettes have disappeared. They seem to have slid off the screen and can't be retrieved. They are checked under the windows menu but don't show up on the screen. I have reinstalled the program and they still don't show. All the other palettes that are not part of the group show up but not the text, transform, attributes, layers, color, swatches, stroke etc. I have to resave my ver 10 files in version 8 and then work on them. What happened to them and how do I get them back????

I fixed the problem by throwing away the AIPrefs. Palettes returned like magic.

I have the same problem of lost palettes and I know there's a way to delete that AIprefs file but I can't seem to find the file. I'm on Windows XP (which I hate, by the way)so can you tell me where to find this little file to delete it?
