    Default Lost Swatches

I lost my swatch libraries in Illus 10 - they were there the other day!

Mostly concerned with Pantone swatches - they are in the application folder, but how do I get Illus to recognize them?

    Help!

This is a known issue either one of your AdobeFnt05.lst or AdobeFnt06.lst files are corrupt or you have a corrupt font. Do a search for the AdobeFnt05.lst and AdobeFnt06.lst files and look for those that are more than 20 or 30 or 40 kbs and delete them if the palettes don't come back after trashing the AI preferences then you have a corrupt font even if you don't want to believe it.

    Swatch Libraries Gone!
I’m using Illustrator 10. When i go to the swatch libraries nothing is there. I’ve thrown the preferences away and even reinstalled Illustrator. done a find file to see if they’re there. yes. in the preset, swatch folder. no swatch libraries in the pull down menu?!

It might be a font problem.
If you have a lot of font open try de-activating most of you fonts and leave only the ones you really need activated. See if you swatches come back.

John that means you have a corrupt font if you find that font(s) you will be able to replace it and activate your other fonts and your libraries will show up.
