Re: Mac and CFMX Questions
Mike,
I am very familiar with CFMX on a windows-based computer.
I want to set up a testing server on the eMac, and I want to do it properly.
After reading the installation instrctions a little more closely I found this:
Note: These instructions assume that you are using the web servers that are built into JRun 4 and Tomcat. For information on
accessing ColdFusion MX pages through the Apache web server, see Other issues, later in this document.
So the way that I understand it is that if I just follow those instructions I would be using the built-in web servers in JRun or
Tomcat.
Can you tell me if this is correct?
Is the following also correct?
If I wanted to use the Apache web server I would install JRun and follow the instrctions at the bottom of this page to Run the JRun
Web Server Configuration tool:

Re: Mac and CFMX Questions
You're pretty much correct on those points, and the last bit is just if
you want to access your pages through Apache. If you are not bothered by
accessing it through the built-in webservers (port 8100 for JRun, for
example) then you don't need to configure your Apache server.

No problem! Remember, if you have problems installing it, there's
installation support right here too:
