    Default Mac files

A client has given me a cd with 2 Freehand 9 Mac files, I can open 1 (B&W) but
    the colored file won't open.
I have both 9 & MX for the PC, Is there a special way of saving these files to
    make them cross platform?
or a special way of opening them? I've try importing them also.

    Thanks Benny

    Default Re: Mac files

If you give them the extension of .fh9 they should open.

Did you open Freehand and then choose File>Open and then navigate
to the file to open it? (double clicking may not work if the
extension is not there or if it is wrong. Pre OSx macs did not
use file extensions to identify files.)

Do you get an error message when you attempt to open the file?
(This can give a hint to see if the file is corrupt or maybe not
    a valid Freehand file)

Can you use a text editor like BBedit to look at the header? (to
verify that it is a Freehand file)
