Mac plug-in equivalents
I'm in the process of switching from PC to Mac, and two of my most used plug-ins, NeatImage for noise reduction and UltraSharpen for sharpening don't have Mac versions. I'd be grateful for recommendations on Mac replacements. I'm most concerned about the sharpening plug-in - UltraSharpen is a great plug-in that does 2 passes, one for large detail and another for fine detail. I'm worried I may not find a Mac plug-in that's as good.
Thanks!
Joe

Re: Mac plug-in equivalents
KPT's Equalizer is pretty amazing, but it requires understanding how it works and then learning how to use it. Instead of just two levels of detail over which the user has control of how much sharpening is to be done there are 8 (IIRC). True to its name, the UI looks like an audio equalizer, and the metaphor fits once you get the concept.

Re: Mac plug-in equivalents
"Equalizer" is a component of the Corel KPT (Kai's Power Tools) Collection <http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=Corel2/Products/Content&pid=1047022702225&cid=1047022708512>.
Unfortunately, they don't give much detail about it at the site.
But for the money, this is a brilliant set of plugins.

Re: Mac plug-in equivalents
Thanks Ronald. Is Digital GEM really a full-fledged sharpening tool? It looks more like a noise-reducing tool . . .

Re: Mac plug-in equivalents
Ramon's suggestions would probably be better for just sharpening.
