Mac user cannot use flashpaper
I downloaded contribute 3.11 twice and still cannot find flashpaper as a
printing option on any of my Office applications or non-Office applications. I
follow the download and it is definitely downloading flash script. I am using
a Mac G4, OS X.3.9. Office 10. Customer service hasn't been able to help
except to have me download again.
Anybody got suggestions? Everything else works fine.

Re: Mac user cannot use flashpaper
:disgust;
I'm afraid that I have the same problem - no FlashPaper - worse, this issue
occurred after upgrading to 3.11 and now I cannot find the earlier installer.
This is seriously BAD software - no relevant help file entry either. Grim.
I would not pay for another Macromedia product if it is going to be like this.
I invite someone from the support service to explain HOW to get FlashPaper 2
installed with the Contribute 3.11 Installer for OS X (I am also using 10.3.9).

Re: Mac user cannot use flashpaper
I spoke with Adobe and they were very helpful. What they had me do was
manually (1) uninstall Contribute, (2) restart and safeboot Mac, (3) create a
different Mac user account with Admin privileges, (4) re-install Contribute.
I believe your purchase and download history is retained under your adobe
account. You should be able to re-download install file. Everything works
fine now. The helpdesk email had more specific instruction. I'll send if you
wish.
Apparently the problem was that there is some conflict with another program
and so you have to install where Contribute can play safe.

Re: Mac user cannot use flashpaper
Of course you'll have to reinstall under your new Admin/user account.

Re: Mac user cannot use flashpaper
Interesting - sounds like the installer is all messed up.
I'm prepared to give it one more go - would appreciate the e-mail that you
received as so far I have nothing of much use (now very familiar with deleting
the install files).
e-mail is ibeeby@mac.com
Your VERY quick and helpful response much appreciated - I just tried to e-mail
Macromedia support via their web form and got a page of error messages - so
their server is probably down or corrupted:-(
Best Regards
