    Default Mac <-> Windows networking

    Okay, I'm getting pretty frustrated here. I can't get either direction
    to work.

    Mac OS 10.2.8 (but I never had this working with 10.2.7 either, so I
    don't think that's the issue)
    Windows XP Pro (all service packs/updates installed)

    On the Mac side, I choose Connect to Server. I type the right IP address
    and then my user name, password... WORKGROUP is alright. I get an error
    -5023 before a list of shared volumes is presented.

    On the Windows side, I can open the computer and see shares. But when I
    double click one, the user name is Guest and can't be edited. No
    password will work.

    How can I get one (or, better yet, both) directions working?

    THe username/password is the same on both systems.

    Thanks for any suggestions!
