MacBook Pro/Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard
Just purchased new MBP, OS 10.4.6, 2 GHz Intel Core Duo, 512 MB DDR2 SDRAM, 60GB, installed Acrobat 7.0 and installed update to 7.0.8(MAC version of course). I cannot get this thing to work correctly. Tried detect and repair,...says repaired,...then when trying to create PDF from Word, etc, the Acrobat PDF Maker status bar just freezes when almost complete with conversion. Where should I go with this?

Re: MacBook Pro/Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard
Intel Macs are not a supported platform with Acrobat 7. You'll need to wait for Acrobat 8 to come out.

Re: MacBook Pro/Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard
Anthony,
To add a comments to Marks. There is no real purpose using the PDFMaker
button in Word on a Mac, it doesn't provide the extra functionality of
the Windows version. You can print to pdf, I'm told that should work
(or use OS X's native pdf functionality).

Re: MacBook Pro/Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard
Will Acrobat Standard 7.0 run on an Intel Mac via Rosetta? (I can take a degradation of performance speed, etc. but I need Acrobat to at least be able to run on an Intel Mac, even if it runs slower than on the PowerPC iMac I currently have.)
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: MacBook Pro/Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard
I have a PowerPC Powerbook and could not get Acrobat Standard to work with 10.4.6, so I updated to 8, and now I don't have printer capabilities, so it won't work there.
What it was doing at first was what was described above, with the Intel Mac, but I don't have intel. It loaded the file almost all of the way and then stalled out.
I thought when something said it worked with an OS, it meant AT LEAST that high, but could it be that Standard 7 doesn't work beyond 10.3?

Re: MacBook Pro/Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard
Debbie,
Acrobat Pro 7(and hence standard 7 which is a subset) will work with
10.3 and 10.4. When you said you updated to 8 are you talking about
Acrobat 8 or 10.4.8?
