Macromedia's website - Macromedia Fireworks

I like Macromedia's current website with the gradient (grey color) background with what looks like noise added. Can this be done with Fireworks 4? If so, what is the best way to get this look? If not, how was it accomplished? Thanks....

Macromedia's bg image is not very well done, imo. Besides showing some
banding on high-end displays, it depends on the browser window to
contain it. Too much content and it will start repeating. Here is how I
    would do it:

Create a 36px wide rectangle and make it 600px high. Set a linear
gradient and turn the gradient so that it is vertical. Choose your
starting and ending colors. Set the transparency of the ending color so
that it blends seamlessly with your canvas color.

Export the image and set it via CSS to be your page background. Set it
to repeat along only the x-axis

Here is a quick one to play with:

Al, thanks for sharing that PNG and giving us the instructions to make it
work. I employed my first use of this technique on a new page at
http://thegardensite.com/irises/bridgeintime/. I can see where this is
    going to lead.

    Thanks again,

    Bobby
