[MacSOUP] ignore PGP signatures? - Mac Networking

I was complaining in a newsgroup about the -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 at the top of each message a fellow poster has started to include because he has troubles with an imposter. He also has 7 lines of signature which begins with -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- and ends with -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- In a reply someone remarked that in any serious Usenet client this becomes invisible. I can't figure out how MacSOUP this does. Anyone? -- ReindeR...

    Default [MacSOUP] ignore PGP signatures?

I was complaining in a newsgroup about the

    -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
    Hash: SHA1

at the top of each message a fellow poster has started to include
because he has troubles with an imposter.

He also has 7 lines of signature which begins with
    -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE-----
    and ends with
    -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

In a reply someone remarked that in any serious Usenet client this
    becomes invisible.

I can't figure out how MacSOUP this does. Anyone?

Does it automatically veryify the signature, and then present only the

Actually, I don't care really about the PGP verification. I just don't
want to snip away the PGP related stuff when I quote.

If it verifies, it doesn't show that PGP stuff.

But why not just select the text you want to quote before clicking the
Reply button? Most news and mail readers will quote only the selected
    text.

That's what I usually do, just did with your posting. But in his case I
usually just quote everything and then edit the posting. It would be
easier if I don't have to edit the PGP stuff out. Now I have to
carefully select from top to bottom (because both on top and bottom
there is PGP stuff). With lengthy postings that involve scrolling down
    this is not as easy.

Why not click at the top and shift click at the bottom? That shouldn't
    be too hard.

MacSOUP can't do this, sorry. (I would still call MacSOUP a serious
Usenet client in spite of this.)
