mail.app versus Claris Emailer 20v3? - Mac Applications & Software

Having seen many, many postings regarding deficiencies/problems in mail.app: AM I better off staying with Claris Emailer since it is nice and 'dumb' enough not to understand html (yes, I actually_like_getting emails that won't be allowed to try to take-over my machine). CAN mail.app be made to handle everything as 'text' plus an attachment like CE20v3 does? CE20v3 is the only reason I still go into 'classic mode' these days. Thanks!...

if you liked Claris Emailer on OS9 you should love PowerMail
<www.ctmdev.com> on OSX. Its interface is very similar to Claris one.
Not only it runs better in ASCII mode but (just in case) you can ask it
to render one given mail with apple's internal html renderer, or even
with the default browser, all with one local menu...
