Yo Walt, try putting your name in the From field of your post, makes you
    look less lurky.

Try, using the Open URL script step by creating a calculation field that
    includes the mailto: syntax.

Works better than the send mail script step.

Hey that's clever. Damn well wish I'd thought of just shoving mailto: in,
instead of using the sendmail script step.

    Thanks!

In fact, that's even more genius than I first realised as you can use the
mailto:user@email.net?subject="" to set the subject, and other recipients
    and CC and BCC.

    I'm a very happy chappy!

Ummm, I would point out that this method has an undefined result.
So long as it works for you and your the main person using it,
or it's in a cntrolled environment (ie, you work) this may be OK...

In some cases, such as where there is no mailer on a computer,
it will fail. In others, it fails without warning - it appears
to have worked, but in reality never sent a message.

Just in case this functionality was going to be business critical.

    Cheers
