Default mailto handle and internet explorer - bug ?

i have this weird problem when using the mailto handle with internet
    explorer 6.0 (sp2 + updates). whenever i insert a text or a button based
mailto link into my movie, run it in internet explorer, and execute the
mailto handle my flash movie is locked into the frame from where the mailto
handle was executed. even menu buttons to other frames jump to that same
frame. the mail client -outlook express- opens just fine but my movie is
    stuck in that frame.
when i open the same movie in netscape 7.2 i have no problem at all
executing the mailto handle. mail client opens and i can keep browsing my
    movie.
when i include the _blank target into the mailto handle the problem does not
exist either in internet explorer, but leaves an empty open ie window (dirty
    solution imho).
i searched google groups for this specific recent problem, found very little
    threads and without any solution.
am i the cause of this problem, or is internet explorer the suspect ?
    any help is very welcome.
    kind regards,

a few days ago i defined timeline anchors in the main movie so you could use
the back and forward history buttons in internet explorer. i never used this
feature before and i never had this problem before so i deleted these from
the movie and my problem is solved. that's also the reason why the movie had
no problems in netscape and only in internet explorer because these anchor
points only work with internet explorer, and not with netscape. cheerz..
