Default Making a PDF from multiple files -- Acrobat gets them in wrong order

Whenever I make a PDF from multiple files using the command in Acrobat 6.0.1, Acrobat puts them the wrong order.

When I select the group of files to be PDFed, Acrobat will put them in the window that comes up before you actually make the PDF so that the first file in alphabetical order comes last and the last file in alphabetical order first (luckily giving me a chance to change the order before committing to make the PDF). I noticed the same error in Acrobat 5. What could be causing this? Is there a fix? It's an error that's easily worked around, but it is annoying.

That is the order in which Explorer hands them off to Acrobat.

That is a feature of MS Windows. Select the files in reverse order.

Post 2 - This will only work with certain file types, but give it a try to see if it works for you. I never did answer Chris (post 3). I think that he could use the same workflow if he saved his Illustrator files as .eps files.
