making background transparent
I'm a novice Illustrator user with a question: I have a logo (flattened file) with a white background. The logo itself is one color: blue. What's the simplest way to replace the white background with a transparent one? When I select all, only the outermost edges of the logo become highlighted and not the interior type. Thanks much, Nancy

Re: making background transparent
The logo you have is a raster image, otherwise known as bitmap. You can either trace the logo in Illustrator using the pen tool, or open it in Photoshop and remove the background, saving as a PSD file.
