Making form fields transparent
I recently scanned a paper form and used Acrobat to fill-in the blanks. In Acrobat, the pdf looks fine, but when I open this same pdf in Preview, the rectangular fields obscure the text and lines of the form, making it look all blotchy. I checked in Properties and all fields show no color for borders or fill.
I need to send this form to another person, but am not certain whether they will also see it blotchy.
How do I make the form fields transparent?
I am using the latest version of Acrobat Pro (7.0.8).

Re: Making form fields transparent
What happens if you open the PDF file with the free Reader?

Re: Making form fields transparent
Reopen in Acrobat click on forms tool. To highlight the forms text boxes.
This is very trick as, if you move the mouse while clicking anywhere on the text box for each part of the form it will move, (does not make any difference whether its inside or on the edge), click on the link.
Then right click on the link and when menu comes up choose properties. choose "not visible but prints". Which means the bounding box is invisible but the contents prints.

I did not think to use the Reader. I have now tried it and it looks fine. Maybe it is just a problem with Preview. In any case, the person to whom I am sending the pdf file has Windows, so most likely they will be using the Reader. Thanks for your suggestion.

Re: Making form fields transparent
Well, PDF files are not really meant to be opened with Preview... I'm glad if I could help you in any way.
