    Default Making text "black"?

I typed some text for navigation links and made them hexidecimal color
#00000 in FW MX, and exported them as .gifs and brought them into DW MX.

For some reason the text just did not appear to be as black as I want. It
was lighter then the black shades from pics on the page.

I tried the same thing in Photoshop 7 and the text comes out darker after
exporting as .gifs. Anyone have any idea why? I'm not sure what the hex # in
PS was because it doesn't show it, but isn't black black?

Also, why are there so many values of black in the color picker with the
    same exact hex code?

    Thanks!

Is the text/navigation links posted anywhere we could look at them?

Using "Color Cubes" mode in the color picker, You should only be seeing two
values for black, one at the top of the vertical column of colors on the
left hand side and one in the upper left hand corner of swatches.

If you are view the NNTP forum, see if you can attach a small sample PNG
that exhibits the problem (< 10K).

Is the type size small, say, under 14 points? If so, the anti-aliasing
may be the reason, ezpecially if the font is delicate. Try changing the
    anti-aliasing to Strong.

You might also try cloning the text, so the copy lies right on top of
    the original.

Thanks guys, I am not on my computer otherwise I would try and post a file.
No texture was set and opacity was 100%. I did try the different Anti-alias
settings. The font size is 11.

    1. What did you mean by cloning the text?
    2. Is the difference between rendering in FW and PS maybe because FW uses
vector text and PS uses bitmap?
