map T3 slice
Hi,
How can I map a T3 slice to an entry in the format command? I know
that you can relate to which unit(using partner pair) with WWN
embedded in the format listing, but how to relate a format entry to a
volume slice.
Basically if you create 2 volumes V1 and V2 and slice it into 4 slices
v11,v12,v21,v22, these would appear as 4 entries in the format
command. How can I know the mapping.
I am trying to avoid using multiple entries from format that map to
the same physical spindle to create certain Veritas volumes.( For
instance, if I am creating an Oracle data and redo log volumes and do
not want to end up on the same physical spindle, how can I do this?)
Thanks for the help
