Massive Menus - FHMXa Unusable
I have been using The Studio MX 2004 on my Windows machine for a while now
without any problems. Today FreeHand MXa has decided to stop working. It has
stretched the left hand menus right accross the screen so that there is no room
for anything else. Turning off the menus just puts a grey area across the
screen.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled and applies the latest patches - still the
same problem, please help.
I have attached a zipped screenshot of the problem.

Re: Massive Menus - FHMXa Unusable
Hi Candrias,
I've had some luck with this:
find your preference file and delete it.
C:\Documents and Settings\"Candrias"\Programdata\Macromedia\FreeHan d
MX\11\English\Settings
Restart MX and hopefully your back in business.

Great, just removed the "fhprefs.txt" file and we are back to normal.
Thanks.

Re: Massive Menus - FHMXa Unusable
Excellent!
Good advice... when things are back to normal take a backup of your prefs
file. If things are getting screwed up again (it will..), just replace bad
prefs file with good prefs file. Lets you restore fh to your custom settings
without a lot of work.
Best
