    Default master page question

How can I prevent items on the master pages from appearing "in front" of regular pages. What I would like is when a master page item and a regular page item overlap, I want the regular page item to appear in front of the master page item.

    Is this possible?

Put the master page items on a different layer, preferably one below everything that you are placing on the regular pages.

I tried that but I have not had any luck. These are pages that I already have created and I am applying a different (new) master.

I create a new layer and drag it below the main layer - then I create the new master on this new layer.

    What am I doing wrong?

My only thought would be to make sure that all the of the items you want on the regular pages are on the correct layers.

After that, I'm out of ideas. Anyone else?

    Ok

I figured it out. the objects on the regular pages are photoshop documents that are semi transparent and have not been flattened. I am asssuming when they are flattened that the master page items will appear behind these items
    Thanks
