I'm having the same problem printing to my 2200 from Photoshop 7.0. What's puzzling is that I can manipulate the image in PS 7.0, save it, and reopen it in Epson's Film Factory, and it prints wonderfully well. Printing directly from PS 7.0 has been a frustrating (and expensive) disaster, so far.
