Maximum Partition Size
Does any one know what the maximum partition size is for
Server 2003 (Standard and Enterprise)
Back round:
I am setting up a server to be used in digital x-ray and
ultrasound imaging. The storage requirements for accessing
data for the next 6 years are at 6TB. I would like to
setup a storage array (SCSI) for a single Drive on the
PACS Server but I have been unable to find a maximum
Partition size for Windows Server 2003 or the Enterprise
version. If anyone has a conformation on this with a link
to back it up I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you,

Re: Maximum Partition Size
Using NTFS with the maximum cluster size (64K), you can create a partition
with a potential maximum of 256 terabytes. Using the default cluster size
of 4K, you'll top out around 16TB.

Re: Maximum Partition Size
Bill
Currently, the limit is 2TB for a basic disk, and 64TB for dynamic disks,
using up to 32 spanned or striped volumes. This hasn't changed since
Win2000, so this MS Knowledge Base article still applies:
