    Default Memory upgrage for IBook

    Hello everyone,

    I have just won the IBook G3 800 12,1" with 128MB RAM. :-)
Because I have not much experience with this system could anyone advice
me whether the 128MB RAM is enough for smooth operation in OS 10.2.x
system? Or maybe it would be reasonable to extend the memory to 256 MB?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions. :-)

You certainly need more RAM for good performance. I suggest getting
either 256M or 512M depending on whether you use many applications that
are memory hungry such as Photoshop or Virtual PC. I started out with
128M additional memory (256M total) in my iBook and recently got 512M.
With only one slot it is annoying to buy extra and find it is not enough.

Thank you all for your suggestions. :-)
Now I see I will certainly extend my IBook memory up to 384 or 640MB.
    Have a nice day :-)
