    Default Mesh tool

    hi
version 10: find a problem of using the mesh tool to fill multi color to a object. the colors filled in spreading out each other (just like water coloring), but what I want is showing a clear line separating 2 colors when I put e.g. blue & red besides each other. Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand your question, but would placing two points in your mesh right next to each other (close together) help?

    Tom,

Gradient Meshes were built for creating smooth transitions or what you call it as "watercolouring". However, you can get a clear line by moving anchorpoints, but this is a matter of trial or experience. Difficult to give you instructions without seeing the object you talk of.

    Tom,

The master of Illustrator Gradient Mesh (IMNSHO) is Philo Calhoun, who might be the best to answer you here, but generally the key word is "gradient" so you want to add grids to work the color blending tighter and then warp them using Direct Selection tool to add your personal needs on color shapes.
