Microsoft s - but their stuff works - Linux Setup, Configuration & Administration

Sad as it is to say - the corporate model might be something worth emulating. A programmers gotta eat after all. If you don't pay these people something - nothing will develope. You can't rely on tech stock buying all the time - I think the investors won't be fooled again (to quote the Who and to some extent George W. Bush)...

But to address the subject, does that explain why I have received 6 emails
in the last 2 days containing .scr and .pif files? Indeed Microsoft stuff
works - for contaminating the Internet.

yea you must be right. maybe this is the reason why there is no open source
community, so such things as linux, *bsd and so on. sure, who would
write code for no money. that would be foolish wouldnt't it?

I guess the Blue Screen of Death and spending hours on the phone waiting
for tech support of dubious value must be addictive.......

I wonder if MS programmers after a long day at the monitor ever come home
and write open source progs or would that be forbidden in their contracts
    ?
