Migration questions -- CF5 to CF7?
We're running CF5, and want to go to CF7 (we have CF7 on all other servers).
Is it possible to make that leap without installing CF6.1?
Also, I've heard that there's a problem with CFMail in CF7 -- we use it
extensively on the CF5 server, and don't want things to go splody. Is there a
font of information about that someplace?

Re: Migration questions -- CF5 to CF7?
Yes, you can install the latest version of ColdFusionMX 7.02. There is no need
to install any interim versions of CFMX (6.0, 6.1 or 7.0). You can download
the trial at www.adobe.com/downloads and test for yourself. The trial will be
7.02 and see if you run into any cfmail issues. I am not aware of any
significant problems with cfmail. There is a hot fix available for problems
with large attachments on the hotfix page. Reply with specifics on cfmail, if
you have them.
You can install 7.02 onto a test or development server with cf5 still there.
7.02 will have a code analyser in the cfadmin that can assist with code
migration. You should thoroughly test your old code on 7.02. You can install
cfmx7 so it uses its own internal webserver. Take a look at Sarge's migration
blog entry here for more info -
