Mirroring a set of artwork on the same doent - Adobe Illustrator Windows

If I have multiple copies of the same artwork with text and graphics on the same page, can I make changes to 1 of the copies in AI so AI will update the other copies? For example, I have 6 copies of the same "event ticket" that I plan to print. If I change the date or some text, can it be automatically update to the other copies that are residing on the same page? Thanks!...

You can do something similar if you use Symbols. You don't say which version of Illustrator you are using (always a good idea when asking a question.) I believe Symbols were introduced with version 10.

Thanks! Using CS2 here. So symbols can be live text? If that's the case, that should do it!!

    Glenn:

Also, you can use Effect> Distort and Transform> Transform, and set for one copy horizontal. Do it again with 2 copies down. Now when you change the original, all the others change. Check the help files for details. steve

The AI file is no longer available or the link might be incorrect? Can you repost it? Thanks!!

Sorry, the link is fixed now. I had left out the two slashes after http:

It is similar to the Transform_Effects_10.ai file in the .zip folder, but it has some additional examples and more explanatory text, and the text has been updated to CS format.
