Missing just semi-bold font

I've been working on a set of drawings that make use of the Adobe Garamond Pro Semi-bold font for the past few weeks. I went to open the files this morning and ALL of my fonts were missing. Closed, re-opened, deleted the preference file, re-opened, uninstalled, re-installed, and nothing works. Where did they go? This is the same machine that I've been working on for the past few months with no problems. Any thoughts on what I can do to get those fonts back?

Do you mean that Garamond Pro Semi-bold is missing or that all fonts are missing?

Can you access the font(s) in other applications?

You may try a search for fonts on your machine (Start>Search).

Sorry about that - the first time I opened illustrator this morning ALL of the fonts were missing. After the re-install just the semi-bold setting for the Adobe Garamond Pro was missing - but the regular and bold options were there. I didn't check other applications before I re-installed - my bad.

How do I do a search for a font? Can I just punch in Adobe Garamond Pro Semi-Bold? Sorry for the dumb question but I've never searched for a font before.

You should be able to see all the available fonts in Illy(Type>Fonts); it sounds as if you have to reinstall Garamond Pro.

You may search for Garamond and see which of them appear.

Jacob - I see Garamond Pro now but I only get the regular, bold, and italic. Just two days ago on this same machine I had a semi-bold and semi-bold italic version. I might just have to switch fonts but it's kind of annoying.

It seems that you have lost the semi-bold style; that is why I suggest your reinstalling Garamond Pro. I suppose you do have it since it was installed before.
