    This worked for me as well. I have a recurring "Missing Plugin" message related to Font Reserve (which I no longer use). So I exported my file to the Interchange format and then resaved as Indesign CS2 and was able to package the file.

    Although this is an effective work-around for occasional packing problems it quickly becomes a hassle when it happens frequently. Adobe should submit a bug report on this or if they don't view it as a InDesign bug, at least have the software handle the problem "gracefully".

    Also, the checkbox to ignore missing plugins in the Missing Plugins dialog does not do anything. The problem keeps coming up.

    Thank you Peter!

    This helped me too, with Extreme Bar Codes being the missing plug-in. My legacy files will from now on be opened in this manner right from the beginning.
