Default Missing text (flush right text block) upon export to pdf

I was aghast today to see and ad in the local paper (that I worked on and got client approval for) missing text at bottom of ad. I am using FH 10 in Mac OS 8.6 (hey, it works) and created the pdf by using the export function. I was aware of this problem before but this time simply forgot to double check the pdf. The errant text block was composed of 3 lines to look like a flush left paragraph on the left side and a flush right paragraph on the right end. Is this a known glitch? Am I to be held hostage by my own software? Clues and answers would be a great help! Thanks.

Not as long as you use the proper software for the job.

Using the FH PDF export for a professional printing job is a big NO-NO.
Buy Acrobat and distill your files from now on. Or submit them as
    EPS's instead of PDF.
