missing tool bar and palettes

for some reason my tool bar and paletts have disappeared............. if I go to window and say show tool bar...........it doesn't do anything....... it is like that for all palettes as well.

I defragged my computer and since then they are missing

Do they come back if you hit Tab?

If not, try resetting preferences. That's the usual fix when Photoshop acts weird.
