mixed ink swatch? - Adobe Illustrator Macintosh

Was wondering if it's possible to create a mixed ink swatch in Illus. like you can in InDesign. If so, how?...

No, Illustrator does not support it yet.

You can fake it with the appearance palette by adding another fill (or stroke) of the second color set to overprint or multiply. I prefer to use multiply but be aware that it introduces transparency. Overprint preview needs to be on for correct screen preview if you choose overprint route.
