MM Serial Number Verification
We are installing CF on a LAN.
If the LAN is connected to an internet server, CF remains at Enterprise
edition after entering our serial number.
If we disconnect the LAN from the world, CF reverts to developer edition.
What do we do to allow CF to remain at Enterprise edition while not connected
to the web?

Re: MM Serial Number Verification
I don't think functionality exists like that in ColdFusion - it certainly doesn't activate itself or anything like that. Could be a more fundamental problem,
john.

Re: MM Serial Number Verification
CF doesn't do anything like that. What makes you say it's reverting back to
Developer Edition, what's telling you that?
What version are we talking about, on what OS?
In general, the more detailed information you provide in your question the
more detailed information you can expect in your answer.

Re: MM Serial Number Verification
The OS was MS Windows XP.
Server Apache.
CF version 7.
We are using CF version 6 on our main server, so we reverted back to that and
"solved" the problem.
We saw the problem using CF Administrator.
When we put the SerialNumber into CF Admin, it would display that we were in
Enterprise mode, but when we would leave CF Admin and return to CF Admin, we
would be back at developer mode.
Could be something to do with whether the server had a domain defined?
We have dropped back to version 6 and shipped, so we are not likely to test
further.
