Hi,

I'm new to the message board and am hoping that someone can help me.

I'm using Mac OS X 10.3.9 and Dreamweaver MX 2004 Education 7.0.1

There are files and folders on my remote site that I haven't updated in a
while that have a blank space before the names of the files and folders. They
all appear at the top of my list of remote site files. I cannot access or
update these files. I cannot change the file name to eliminate the blank space
(which I didn't put in there).

When I try to connect up to the remote site an error message comes up for each
file saying: "An FTP error ocurred - cannot get filename.htm.mno. Access
denied. The file may not exist, or there may be a permission problem."

After I OK out of all the error messages, the connection to the remote site is
established and I can still access some of my files but not these ones that
have a space before them in my list of files.

One thing to note is that if I try to access the "bad" files after I am
connected to the remote site the ".mno" extension is no longer a part of the
error message. Everything else in the message is the same.

The error messages for the folders don't come up automatically when I try to
connect to the remote site. There are generic error messages though that come
up when I try to access the folders.

I know that the files and folders are still really on the remote site because
I can view them online from another computer. I don't think the permission part
of it should be problem because I am the only one the updates these files.

Any help about how to resolve this issue so I can update my files would be
GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!
