Is there anywhere else to view the link information other thatn "link
information" the path is far too few characters to be useful (the number of
chracters shown is about 2 folders worth on the doc I'm working on - the
actual pic is about 4 folders further down).

One of my pet peeves, too.

If you choose "Relink" it will pop up a dialog that shows you the location of the existing link.
