Modify kerning tables of font
In Quark, I could modify the kerning table for a particular font. Is there a way to do that with InDesign CS?

Re: Modify kerning tables of font
"Yes, with a very expensive plug-in"...See:
Cool Kerning. <http://www.knowbody.dk/productbasement/index.asp?language=&PBSelProd=I000001&PBSelMenu=In fo>
You get the use of the plug-in for 81 Euros a year. As I'm sure Knowbody would say, it's not expensive it if it saves you enough time.
Another way to go would be to edit the fonts directly, using FontLab (expensive) or TypeTool (cheaper, but won't edit PostScript based OpenType). See Fontlab. <http://www.fontlab.com/index.php>
Note that this approach can run afoul of many font foundry's EULA, so check first. It's also possible to make a mess of your fonts when you start opening and saving them in a font editor if you don't know what you're doing!

Re: Modify kerning tables of font
At one time I would have recommended Cool Kerning, but I have had difficulties recently. If you do use it I would recommend that once you create a package and make your kerning, do not change the package. The problems I have encountered are too exhaustive to detail. Also be aware that you have to repurchase (at full cost) your license every year. I would be tempted to suggest looking at Quark 7, but I don't think it supports Open Type features?
In the meantime submit a request to Adobe to develop a reliable kerning plug-in.
