    Default Monitor calibration

My photos, when put on the web, look correct on one computer and too dark on
another. Is there a way to calibrate the colors, contrast and brightness on
    my monitor?

    Thanks
    Monty

    Default Monitor calibration

I hope someone knows the answer to this one:

I gamma-calibrated my monitor and started getting inkjet printouts that
match what I see on-screen in Photoshop 7. That's great, but it doesn't
appear to be good for all my other programs. I'm seeing washed-out or
unexpected colors in CorelDraw 11, Internet Explorer (even my own website),
etc. PMS color chips don't match on-screen PMS colors either.

What do I need to do to see accurate and reliable colors all the time? HELP!

    Default Re: Monitor calibration

I reset my gamma to 2.2 (thanks to Madsen's link to Norman Koren's site) and
    all is well again.

Monty, check this out. Helped me a lot:

What was your monitors gamma value before then?
A gamma of around 2.2 is what most monitors are build to, AFAIK.

    Default Monitor calibration

I used Photoshop's monitor calibrator. My new flat screen came with a much better calibrator but I must remove the Photoshop one. How does one do this?
