month long login frustration, i need some help

i have ben struggling with this for well over a month, i have even purchased
loginsuite and i cannot get anywhere. i have read every book on dreamweaver mx
04 and funny enouh, they all leave out the login issue. i have a username and
password window from buzznet ie: loginsuite. i have put the "login with cookie"
behavior on it. i have a connection with the table on my database. i have
configured the fields as to draw the correct information. ex: form username =
database username, form password = database password. form username = ryan form
password rrrrrr, database username = ryan database password rrrrrr. i have
created a table on my database with six fields labeled accordingly, username,
password, confirm password, first name, last name, email. i used the
registration template from dreamweaver and put an nsert record on the page and
successfully entered the correct information on the six fields in the databse.
i have created a cookie named Ryan on the login in behavior and forwarded (on
successful verification of username and password) to SAMPLEPAGE.PHP. on the
SAMPLEPAGE.PHP i added a "access by cookie" behavior and highlighted the "Ryan"
cookie. The SAMPLEPAGE successfully restricts access when one attemps to bypass
the login page. however, the login page will NEVER successfully reach the
SAMPLEPAGE by entering in the correct username nad password information.
Suprisingly, when i only user the "username" field it will work, but at the
same time, eventhough the SAMPLEPAGE has an "access by cookie" behavior, the
SAMPLEPAGE no longer resricts access and is acessible by bypassing the login
page. i have tried everything. i cannot find any help on the issue. i believe i
have it set up correctly. i need help desperately! PLEASE!:|

You're going to have to post your code. Mainly the section that handles the
login check but also the bit at the top of your samplepage.php which restricts
the access to the page. Post the code and we should get it sorted.
