Default more than one page and converting to PDF

I have created a document in AI10 that is two pages (17x11 - page 1 and 2). It's kind of like a newsletter.

We have to send it via email as a PDF. When I "save as, PDF", it saves it as one big 17 x 11 page instead of allowing the PDF to view as two pages.

Can this be fixed or changed or what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    ckoskyn and Roupen,

Illy is a one page application, so each artwork becomes one page. You may create a two page document with Acrobat, if you have it, and save the two parts of the artwork into separate pages. The same applies to multiple pages.

I have tried the suggestion on 5-20-04 by John Wunde and LenHewitt. It doesn't work. Or I am doing something wrong. I have an existing PDF that is two pages and I open the first page in illustrator. When I try to open the second page it says this document is already open, please open it in another window. Well, if I open it in another window then that puts me back at two seperate illustrator documents. How would I save two seperate illustrator docs as one pdf containing two pages. This is so frustrating.
