Most likely a totally stupid question.... - Macromedia Director 3D

Hi, I'm new to this all and am trying to turn a model of a house I made in maya into an interactive feature on the web where you can zoom in/out, pan around ,etc. But have no idea how as I have no idea what I'm doing with director really. So far I have exported a w3d model from maya, imported it into director (8.5) and have so far published it using shockwave into an internet browser window - but I can't seem to interact or control it in anyway. I guess I need to know how I can ...

    Hi,

I'm new to this all and am trying to turn a model of a house I made in maya
    into
an interactive feature on the web where you can zoom in/out, pan around ,etc.
But have no idea how as I have no idea what I'm doing with director really.

So far I have exported a w3d model from maya, imported it into director (8.5)
and have so far published it using shockwave into an internet browser window -
but I can't seem to interact or control it in anyway.

I guess I need to know how I can do this and what I need to do exaclty - any
    help?

    Many thanks in advance!

Open the library Palette and choose "3D Actions". There you'll find all
the basic navigation behaviours which you drag and drop onto your stage
containing the W#D file. Then select "Triggers" which you also drag and
drop onto the stage to create mouse and keyboard triggers to control
    those actions....

Thanks alot for the help - that really helped and I've pretty much sussed it-
although I have a few follow on questions?

I've managed to administer the main actions such as pan, rotate, etc - but
they seem to be inverted, and in some cases don't conform to the way I'd like -
is there a way to reverse the invertion?

Essentially the kind of movement I'd like is the way you can interact with the
model when you double click on it in the cast - those dolly, rotate and pan
features. However when I administer 'orbit camera' around the object it seems
there are only certain axis you can utilise and they don't seem to allow the
    proper movement around the object...

    Once again, thanks in advance!
